5 Candy Languages

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, and for most of us that means it's time to pause a moment and consider our most special relationships - whether present, or future. There is hardly a better way to "learn how to express heartfelt commitment to your mate" than to learn your "Love Language."

Those who have read Dr. Gary Chapman's book know how valuable it is to understand how both you and your mate communicate your love toward one another.

Candy has become a big part of the way our culture celebrates Valentine's Day, and we at Candy Galaxy have come up with a quiz to discover your "Candy Language." Knowing your Candy Language can help that special someone in your life show his/her love for you through candy. So for an extra special holiday, take this quiz, find out your Candy Language, and then talk through the results together with your mate.

Simply choose the statement which most resonates with you from this list of selections, and keep track of your answers and the corresponding letters.

 Question 1

When I leave the convenient store:
A) You can hear the Tic-Tacs rattle in my pocket.
B) My Plain M&Ms are already melting in my hands.
C) There are Almond Joy crumbs on my shirt.
D) People think something smells bad by the look on my face.
E) I have to carry my giant Pixie Sticks because they won't fit in a bag.

 Question 2

At the movie theatre:

A) I refuse to share my King Size Junior Mints.
B) I sneak in a melted Hershey bar to drizzle on my popcorn.
C) People turn around when I crunch my Mr. Goodbar.
D) Tears are running down my face before the previews are over.
E) I use my my cell phone light to dip my Fun Dip.

Question 3

When I get to put my own toppings on my bowl of Frozen Yogurt:
A) I alternate layers of key-lime fro-yo and Sour Patch Kids.
B) I leave a giant hole in the middle of my fro-yo and fill it with Hershey's syrup and chocolate chips.
C) I fill up my cup halfway with cake batter fro-yo and the rest of the way with as much Nerds, Pop Rocks, Smarties, and Pez as will fit.
D) I blend the Reece's Peanut Butter Cups with my peanut butter fro-yo.
E) I'm always disappointed when I get to the bottom half of my mint fro-yo and I've run out of Andes mints.

Question 4

I typically eat the most candy:
A) If I can smell my breath.
B) Right after a break-up.
C) After a work-out.
D) I need to snap out of it.
E) When I need a pick-me-up.

Now total up your answers and see which letter you answered most often.

A) Receiving Mints - There's no mint too strong for you and you are never caught without a box of Altoids, Certs, or Mints. Your breath can be seen no matter what the weather.

B) Chocolatey Time - There's no treat too rich for your blood. You're not one to pick through your box of chocolates to find the best ones because you love them all, and you'll take your chocolate however it comes.

C) Nuts of Affirmation - For you there really is "no wrong way to eat a Reece's," or any other peanut butter candy for that matter. When given the choice between Almond Joy and Mounds you'll take Almondy Joy each and every time.

D) Acts of Sourness - People often think you find them disgusting or repulsive until you have a chance to explain to them you're just enjoying some of your favorite candy. If it doesn't hurt your cheeks, you're not interested.

E) Physical Rush - No one has ever accused you of being a teacher's pet, because when it comes to sugar you're a straight shooter. You would take it straight out of the cane if you could, but you'll settle for the kind that comes in a colorful straw.

My 2012 Resolution. Join me.

#1 Become a Candy Expert

Why in the world would someone want to become a candy expert?

Three words.

Relevant. Party. Reward.

Relevant… Tides in commerce are shifting. Ebbing and flowing toward e-commerce. Over 57.9% of food is purchased online. Jump in and experience e-commerce to the fullest.

Party… Any glorious event showcases sugary goodness for party guests. Keep your parties alive with sweet treats. Become an elitist of candy cuisine and invite your party guests along.

Reward… Ostentatious selections of candy scream, “Reward!”. You’ll be the first to know, with the most selection at your fingertips. Not to mention sneak peaks at new candy, straight from the manufacturer.

Santa may have a hard time making his rounds without digging into the gifts in this cruiser, but we would be glad to help him restock the Starlight mints.

Simply cut a tissue box into the shape of a sleigh, cut holes toward the bottom to run the candy canes through, decorate, and fill it with your favorite Candy Galaxy candies!

Gingerbread House

Which is more fun, making gingerbread houses or eating them? Though we may never solve this age old debate, we do know one thing: more candy makes both more fun.

Whether you're building a lean-to or the Taj Mahal, there's no such thing as a bad gingerbread house.  Make sure its loaded with the good stuff: M&Ms, Skittles, Twizzlers, Gum Drops, Reece's Cups, and Hershey Bars. Just get to stacking and get to snacking.

LifeSavers Locomotive

Its as easy as it looks and just as fun.  Simply stack a roll of LifesSavers on a pack of gum, then with adult supervision, glue pieces together with LifeSavers as the train's wheels.  Stack a Caramel Creme, Squirrell Nut Zipper, or Reese's Cup as the "cab," and add a Hershey's kiss on the front end to finish it off, then chug full steam ahead for the holidays.

Life a Little Sweeter

How much more inviting is an office with a candy bowl at the reception desk? What would a high school

football game be like without a fully stocked concession stand? Why would anyone swing a stick at a paper mache donkey, with a blindfold on, if it wasn't filled with sweet treats? How many kids would dress up as cartoon characters and roam the streets at night in order to fill up a pillow case with their neighbors' vegetables?

These may all be rhetorical questions, but these are the very questions that drive our team at Candy Galaxy. Some moments in life simply wouldn't be the same without candy, and it's our goal to make your life a little sweeter by bringing you the biggest candy selection at the lowest prices. CandyGalaxy.com makes it easy and fun to shop for the classic candy you love, and discover new goodies you'll wonder how you lived without.

So go ahead, take a look around, act like a kid in an online candy store. Just don't miss out on the sweeter moments in life.
